Batu
Batu is a heavy density hardwood, often yellow/brownish in colour. It offers excellent longevity when used in decking. Batu does have a tendency to move more then some other timbers. It also can develop small surface cracks if not well maintained.

Jarrah
Jarrah is heavy and tough with a slight pleasant odour. Colour varies from uniform pink to dark reddish brown. Jarrah is used on decking, flooring, wall panelling, joinery and furniture.

Merbau
Merbau (Kwila) is a naturally oily wood with high tannin content. This extremely durable hardwood is resistant to termites and decay, and is most commonly used for timber decking. Merbau has a beautiful grain and appearance and is one of the world's most durable timbers. Merbau is a yellowish-brown or orange brown when first cut, turning darker with age to a brown or deep reddish brown. Merbau is our recommended timber for looks and quality.
